Titus Plattel, MSc., MBA, appointed Managing Director of Roseman Bioventures in Las Vegas, Nevada

In his role, Titus will oversee the strategic direction and operational expansion of RBV, a 120,000 square foot state-of-the-art research facility located on the campus of Roseman University. RBV’s move-in-ready workspaces are complemented by a highly collaborative support system that helps early- to mid-stage life science companies bridge the gap between research and commercialization, accelerating development and time-to-market.

Titus is a seasoned biotechnology executive with more than 30 years of life science industry experience. His background includes serving as CEO and COO for multiple, high-growth, emerging private companies, as well as holding strategic leadership and commercial roles at established public industry leaders such as Biogen, Amgen and Bavarian Nordic.

“Titus brings a wealth of industry expertise and a forward-thinking operational approach that perfectly align with our mission to create a capital-efficient, highly collaborative life-science ecosystem in Nevada,” said Jeffery Talbot, vice president for Research at Roseman University of Health Sciences and an RBV co-founder. “Under his leadership, Roseman Bioventures is uniquely positioned to unlock essential government resources, venture capital and hands-on operational support for our resident companies. He is the ideal leader to guide RBV as we continue building a successful commercialization engine on the academic foundation of Roseman University and setting the stage for a venture studio in the coming years.”

A Capital-Efficient Path for Life Science Innovators

Demonstrating the appeal of RBV’s model, Nautilus X-Ray is the latest high-caliber startup to establish operations within the Las Vegas facility.

“As we evaluated where to grow, Roseman Bioventures stood out for its vision of building a collaborative life sciences ecosystem in Nevada, and for an existing X-ray facility that saved us the capital and time of building one from scratch,” said Hui Hu, PhD, CEO and co-founder of Nautilus X-Ray, Inc. “From here we can grow our R&D, engineering and precision manufacturing teams and advance our ultra-fast CT platform toward clinical use. Together, RBV and Nautilus X-Ray can show that Nevada is becoming a center for advanced medical technology – and we will be one of the reasons the next innovative company chooses to come here.”

The addition of Nautilus X-Ray builds on RBV’s track record of success with its existing residents. Recently, resident tumor-infiltration company Infiltrate Bio published groundbreaking research in the prestigious peer-reviewed journal Science Translational Medicine and was selected into the prestigious Palantir Startup Fellowship Cohort #002. This Cohort provides direct, free access to Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) and specialized engineering support for a select, elite group of early-stage AI teams and companies.

“Welcoming an innovative company such as Nautilus X-Ray is a testament to the world-class facility and ecosystem we are building here,” said Titus Plattel, RBV managing director. “Startups no longer need to compromise between premier facilities and financial runway. Our mission is to provide the cutting-edge tools, institutional credibility and life science networks that empower our resident teams to hit critical scientific and clinical milestones faster.”
