The Top 10 team accolade follows CISO Felipe Medina’s individual recognition as a leading global security professional.

PALM HARBOR, Fla., Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Geographic Solutions, the nation’s leading provider of workforce development software for government and public sectors, is proud to announce that its internal security team has been honored with a 2026 Oncon Icon Top 10 Information Security Team Award.

This prestigious accolade recognizes exceptional teams that go above and beyond through innovation, leadership, and making a meaningful impact on their organizations. Such an honor underscores the team’s dedication to excellence, innovative practices, and leadership in information security, setting it apart as a top-performing team.

Led by Chief Information Security Officer Felipe Medina, Geographic Solutions’ specialized team of seven utilizes a strict zero-trust framework and robust risk management strategies. Their efforts safeguard the company’s cloud-based platforms, critical workforce development infrastructure, and highly sensitive client data. This milestone follows another major achievement earlier this year, when Medina himself was named one of the world’s Top 10 Information Security Professionals at the spring OnCon Icon Awards.

“Although modern cybersecurity is built upon advanced technology and rigorous protocols, its fundamental strength lies in the individuals who manage it. This recognition serves as a testament to the persistent, day-to-day efforts of our seven-person information security team, who work to anticipate emerging threats and foster a zero-trust culture throughout the company. I am incredibly proud of their commitment to high standards and the significant contributions they provide on a daily basis,” said Medina.

The OnCon Icon Awards are determined entirely by their peers and the community. Voters select organizations and teams that have demonstrated significant influence on their own companies or the industry at large, exhibited outstanding leadership, pioneered innovation, and contributed meaningfully to the professional community through proactive thought leadership.
